The NCHS band hosted it's 37th Annual Variety Show last year. Every year the event is held the first weekend in May. This is a great opportunity for the students to show off their individual talents and have fun as well. We take this opportunity to teach the students about the workings of a theatre. The show is run by the students with few exceptions. The lights, sound, stage, props, and many other jobs are done with the assistance of our talented parents. Students will sing, dance, play solo's, the stage band from the middle school and high school will perform. The band booster presidents are the Master and Mistress of Ceremonies for the event. Usually there is a percussion ensemble, Dixieland band, and several vocal ensembles. We also host our Band Queen Pageant during the Variety Show. One senior lady is chosen by their peers as the Band Queen. The 2004-2005 band queen is Leigh Ann Jennings.
